Drive for Lives - Animal Transfer
-
Description
Ruby wound up at the BC SPCA after she was found wandering stray, and sadly, no guardian came looking for her. Being a highly intelligent pup, full of energy, she was not thriving in a shelter setting. The energetic pup was in need of a spay surgery and a special home that could keep up with her. Ruby was set to be transferred through our Drive for Lives program to an area with more veterinary care resources and a higher adoption rate.
Thankfully, shortly after her arrival, someone who had just lost their beloved senior dog applied to meet her. They were a perfect match, and Ruby was able to head home with them as a foster-to-adopt. Fast forward a few months, Ruby has now been spayed, and her new parents have met with an AnimalKind trainer to set Ruby up for success in her new home. Staff cheered on her official adoption day! This special girl has had quite a journey to get where she is today.
This kind gift could provide a life-saving journey for an animal like Ruby. All funds raised will protect vulnerable animals, and mobilize communities so animals and people can thrive together, by helping where the need is greatest.
