First response to cruelty complaint

The BC SPCA toll-free Animal Helpline receives more than 27,000 calls a year. Some become large scale investigations, requiring thousands of hours of staff time and can cost $50-$100K. However, each cruelty complaint requires an initial assessment to determine appropriate next steps whether that be a house visit from a Special Constable to help an owner understand an animal's needs and their responsibilities, seeking a warrant, coordination with other agencies or a multitude of other possibilities. 

This caring gift could provide an initial assessment. All funds raised will protect vulnerable animals, and mobilize communities so animals and people can thrive together, by helping where the need is greatest.
