Description
The BC SPCA toll-free Animal Helpline receives more than 27,000 calls a year. Some become large scale investigations, requiring thousands of hours of staff time and can cost $50-$100K. However, each cruelty complaint requires an initial assessment to determine appropriate next steps whether that be a house visit from a Special Constable to help an owner understand an animal's needs and their responsibilities, seeking a warrant, coordination with other agencies or a multitude of other possibilities. Your gift provides this initial assessment.
