Outdoor Mammal Enclosure - Wild ARC
This facility is one of the original structures built in 1997 and was upgraded in 2013 and again in 2020 with replacement of rotting wood and the inner plywood walls. The enclosure has also received new screening to ensure it is predator proof, but requires annual reinforcements. A variety of mammals have been housed in this area, from squirrels and rabbits to mink before their transfer to aquatic pens. Annual maintenance of the enclosure includes new gravel and a deep clean, plus repairs to nesting boxes and climbing apparatus. Annual sponsorship for one of the areas will fund these maintenance costs and help support water and electrical services to the facility, to ensure the patients have all the amenities needed for optimal care.
Cage sponsorship supporters will have their name or that of an honouree displayed on the cage for a year and receive a certificate displaying their support.
