Outdoor Avian Enclosure - Wild ARC
The avian facility was one of the original structures built in 1997. In early 2013, four new multi-purpose enclosures were built to increase capacity for our avian patients and in 2018 the original enclosure received new screening to ensure it is predator proof. The areas can be set-up to accommodate a variety of bird species from hummingbirds and songbirds to raptors in need of a small space before transfer to the flight pen. Built onto our original Avian Enclosure, the addition is very practical as it shares the original double-door hallway system as well as electrical and water needs
Annually, the enclosure requires new gravel and a deep clean, plus maintenance of perching and roofing materials as well as annual reinforcements for predator screening. Annual sponsorship of one of these enclosures will support these maintenance costs plus its water and electrical services, to ensure the patients housed within receive the highest standard of care.
Cage sponsorship supporters will have their name or that of an honoree displayed on a 3” x 5” plaque on the cage for one year and receive a certificate displaying their support.
